Join the Gainesville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for a powerful virtual experience that celebrates the intersection of beauty, culture, and art. Teens are welcome too!

This session will spotlight skin care. For African Americans, skin care — when viewed through the lens of art — opens up a fascinating look into how beauty, wellness, and aesthetics have been represented, redefined, and celebrated across generations.
Because our skin is both a literal canvas of identity and a symbolic one in art, this theme beautifully connects cultural practices of self-care with powerful artistic depictions of beauty and resilience.

💎Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, young ladies ages 11–14
The Delta Academy program is designed to:
• Provide opportunities to enrich and enhance educational experiences for middle school girls in local public schools
• Focus on math, science, and technology to help prepare participants to be leaders in the 21st century
• Promote leadership through service learning, emphasizing the cultivation of relationships and civic responsibility
💎 Delta GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully), young ladies ages 14–18
The Delta GEMS program aims to:
• Instill a commitment to academic excellence
• Provide tools that help girls sharpen and expand skills for academic success
• Support proper goal setting and future planning, including high school and post-secondary pathways
• Encourage girls to become compassionate and community-minded through active service-learning
• Offer a structured road map for college and career exploration
• Facilitate opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth

Menopause is natural, but the struggle doesn’t have to be. In this first session of our three-part series, we’ll explore what’s happening with our hormones, common symptoms, natural and medical interventions, and the impact of racial disparities in diagnosis and care.
This workshop is designed especially for Black women ages 35–55, navigating the pre-, peri-, and menopausal phases. Join us for honest conversation, empowering knowledge, and resources to support your journey.

In recognition of Financial Literacy Month and aligned with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s commitment to Financial Fortitude, the Economic Development Committee will host "Scam Likely: A community forum on the prevention and detection of bank fraud". The event will be April 5, 2025, at 10:30am at the Library Partnership, 912 NE 16th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601.
Join us for an important discussion on bank fraud prevention. Learn valuable tips and strategies to protect yourself and our community from financial fraud.
