“40 Years of Fortitude: Honoring Our Legacy, Advancing Our Impact” (40 for 40)
Dear Sorors, Friends, Family, and Community Partners,
With tremendous gratitude and unwavering pride, I welcome you to the official website of the Gainesville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. This year marks a monumental milestone for our chapter—40 Years of Fortitude. On October 26, 1985, 40 courageous and visionary women came together to charter this chapter with a shared commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Their strength, foresight, and passion laid the groundwork for the vibrant and impactful chapter we are now.
As we celebrate four decades of outstanding service, we do so at a time when our voices and presence are needed more than ever. We live in a tumultuous political and social climate where truth, equity, and justice are being tested daily. Yet, in these challenges, the Gainesville Alumnae Chapter remains steadfast. We are a beacon of hope, a source of strength, and a force for positive change within our community. Through our unwavering dedication to Delta Sigma Theta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, we continue to uplift, educate, advocate, and empower. Our programs reflect not only the needs of today, but the promise of tomorrow. We are so proud of the legacy we have built, and even more excited about what lies ahead.
Thank you for visiting our online home. You may also contact us at info@gacdst.org.
Whether you are a member of our beloved sisterhood, a community partner, or a supporter of our mission, I invite you to stand with us as we continue to lead with purpose, act with courage, and serve with Fortitude.
